Maisie Waters Celebrates 1 Year with Stafforce!

Today, we celebrate the first work anniversary of Maisie Waters, Recruitment Consultant in our South Yorkshire Hub. We sat down with Maisie this week to discuss her journey within Stafforce so far and explore her ambitions moving forward.

Looking back on your first year, what is one accomplishment you’re particularly proud of?

Sales has been an amazing journey for me, and in my first six months, I not only learned the ropes of the sales process but also made my highest billing permanent placement in January. Also, I’m proud to have won the “Newcomer of the Year” award at the Nicholas Associates Group annual conference as well receiving “Colleague Kudos” recognition, nominated by multiple colleagues, all within my first few months.

What are some key skills or qualities that have helped you succeed in your first year, and how have they developed?

When I started in sales, I initially thought it would involve following a script and selling the business. However, I quickly realised it’s more about showcasing my personality and demonstrating what I, as an individual, can bring to the table with Stafforce. This business is all about people, and people connect with other people. I’m also proud to have learned payroll and compliance, which I’ve grown to love. I’m fortunate to have the dream team in compliance and payroll supporting me with this

How do you stay motivated and continue to grow in a fast-paced and often challenging environment?

I stay motivated by continually learning, whether it’s through watching YouTube videos at night or seeking advice and guidance from my incredible team. In this fast-paced environment, there are both tough days and easier ones, but having an amazing team that supports each other makes all the difference. My motivation stems from knowing that I have the power to achieve and perform at my best.

What do you believe makes Stafforce stand out from the rest?

What sets Stafforce apart is that it isn’t solely focused on numbers or KPIs; it’s about setting goals and achieving success together. The entire team works as one cohesive unit. The company culture is centred on knowing and caring about the people you work with. We celebrate successes together, and the recognition and appreciation we receive from everyone, including directors and colleagues from other branches, make it all worthwhile.

Looking ahead, what are your goals for your next year in the role, and how do you plan to achieve them?

My goal for the next year is to become a senior recruitment consultant and continue to be successful. I want to learn everything there is to know and keep growing along the way. I’m fortunate to have amazing role models in this business, like Claire Faulkner, Nikki Heath, and Alison Cook, who demonstrate daily what it means to be successful and how to achieve it. Day by day, I plan to seize every new learning opportunity and ensure that I look after each client to enhance both my reputation and that of the company.

We want to thank Maisie for sharing her career journey with us and congratulate her once again on a successful first year with Stafforce! Maisie is a valued member of the team and we appreciate all her contributions and dedication to our business. Here’s to many more years with us!
