Our Operations Manager celebrates 10 Years with Stafforce

Today, we celebrate the ten-year work anniversary of Nikki Heath, one of our operations managers. We sat down with Nikki this week to discuss her journey within Stafforce over the past decade and explore her ambitions for the future.

Can you share your journey at Stafforce over the past 10 years? How did you start initially, and how has your career grown?

I began my Stafforce journey by taking on the role of business manager at the Lincoln branch. Starting from scratch, I hired Laura Davison (who now works in our sales team), and we expanded the team to include 2 other members. By the end of the first year, the branch had grown to become one of the top 3 branches in our network. After 7 successful years in Lincoln, I was promoted to branch network operations manager, and I have been in this role for the past 2 years.

What are some of the most memorable moments or achievements that stand out to you?

I have had many memorable moments over the past 10 years. Some of the most significant ones include winning awards with the Lincoln team, completing the 3 Peaks challenge with my colleagues and peers, and running the London Marathon for our group’s charity.

How has the world of recruitment evolved over the past decade? What obstacles and triumphs have you faced along the way?

The world of recruitment is constantly changing, with new challenges appearing almost daily. One of the biggest obstacles we’ve seen over the last decade is the very tight labour market, and the impact of Brexit on how recruitment businesses attract and retain talent. In 2020, the pandemic brought new challenges with redundancies, furlough, and uncertainty, but we adapted and found solutions to move forward.

Technology has significantly advanced over the past few years, making processes quicker and easier for everyone involved. It’s exciting to think about what the next decade of tech will bring. Throughout my years in recruitment, one consistent factor has been the importance of relationships with colleagues, peers, candidates, clients, and suppliers. Building and maintaining these relationships is crucial in delivering solutions and getting the job done.

Definitely the culture; we have a family feel where everyone supports each other. I have made so many friends across the business in the past 10 years. It’s like a second home with people who genuinely care about each other. It’s incredibly rewarding to work in a place where empowers each other to be their best and people can push on, knowing that they have a network of supportive peers behind them.

Looking ahead, what are your goals for the future, both personally and professionally?

My next goal is to compete in my first bodybuilding competition within the next 2 years and also to complete a parachute jump. Professionally, I aim to grow, develop, and find success and happiness in my current role.
