Celebrating 10 years with Lucy Clark
At Stafforce, we’re excited to celebrate a significant milestone: Lucy Clark, one of our outstanding Account Managers, marks her 10-year anniversary with us. Over the past decade, Lucy’s journey has been filled with growth, resilience, and meaningful achievements that have shaped both her career and the success of the company. To mark this special occasion, we sat with Lucy to reflect on her experiences, lessons, and favourite memories. Join us in getting an inside look at her incredible journey!
Q: Looking back on your 10 years with Stafforce, what has been your proudest achievement?
“Making it to 10 years! There have been times, especially during the COVID pandemic, where I worked with a reduced team, and I even moved to managing the Sofina contract from a smaller account. It often felt impossible, and I questioned if recruitment was still for me. But with perseverance, encouragement, and support from my manager and team, I’m truly proud of where I am today and the relationships I’ve built, both within NA Group and Sofina.”
Q: How has your role evolved over the past decade leading you to become an Account Manager, and what have you enjoyed most about this journey?
“Although the core of my Account Manager role – building and maintaining client and candidate relationships – hasn’t changed, I’ve grown a lot personally. The biggest shift has been managing a team with diverse skills, working towards the same goals. Leading a team is tough; it’s a constant process of adapting and learning.”
“What I’ve enjoyed most is my team. Volume recruitment can be challenging, but working with a team that makes you laugh makes all the difference. I love the energy in the office when we’re all pushing forward together. It’s even better when clients see us as partners, collaborating with us for everyone’s benefit.”
Q: What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned as the Account Manager for Young’s Seafood in Grimsby?
“Never stop learning and adapting; I truly believe in taking charge of my own development. If there’s something I don’t know that could benefit me or my team, I find the resources or training to learn it. Honesty is also essential, but delivery is key; those who know me would say I’m good with the honesty part 😊, but I’m still working on the delivery!”
Q: If you could describe your past 10 years in three words, what would they be?
“Unpredictable, Challenging, but Rewarding!”
Q: What’s been your favourite project or task that made you feel most fulfilled or proud during your time with us?
“In 2018, I was part of a project to develop and roll out a new CRM system throughout the wider Group. It gave me invaluable insight into other areas of our business, making me a specialist for the system and allowing me to support my colleagues. The project team brought together people from all over the company, and despite balancing it with my regular responsibilities, I had a blast! I learned a ton, not just about the CRM but about how different parts of NA Group operate.”
Q: What’s something your colleagues might not know about you after all these years? Any hidden talents or fun hobbies?
“I have a bit of a shopping habit – enough that I’m on a first-name basis with most delivery drivers. I played netball at a county level when I was younger and even tried out for the England team. I still play in the local district league. And, fun fact, I have an irrational fear of deep water and sharks, and I can’t stand bananas… stay 10 meters clear of me if you’re bringing a banana in for lunch!”
Q: If you could travel back to your first day at Stafforce, what advice would you give to your younger self?
“Buckle up and prepare for a wild ride!”
Q: To celebrate your 10-year anniversary, if you could take a dream holiday anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
“It would be a mix of everything I love. First, a shopping spree in NYC, then Florida for the theme parks, and finally, a relaxing retreat somewhere sunny like Hawaii or the Caribbean to wind down.”
Lucy’s decade-long journey with Stafforce reflects her commitment, adaptability, and passion. She has not only made a difference in her role but has also inspired her colleagues, clients, and candidates along the way. We look forward to watching Lucy’s exciting journey ahead!
