Neil Pearson Celebrates 1 Year with Stafforce!
Today, we celebrate the first work anniversary of Neil Pearson, Business Manager of our Thames Ports Branch. We sat down with Neil this week to discuss his journey within Stafforce so far and explore his ambitions moving forward.
Looking back on your first year, what is one accomplishment you’re particularly proud of?
“Taking ownership of the P&O Tilbury Account has been a huge highlight for me. Increasing fulfilment levels to well above what was expected felt like a big win, especially when the client mentioned in a review meeting that we were giving them the best service they’d ever had from any supplier. That kind of feedback makes all the hard work so worth it.”
What’s one piece of advice you received that has helped you succeed in your role?
“Under promise and over deliver” is something I always keep in mind. It’s not about making big promises – it’s about showing up and delivering results. At the end of the day, clients don’t want fancy words; they want actions and outcomes, and that’s what I focus on.”
How has this role challenged you to grow, both professionally and personally?
“Even though I’ve managed high-volume accounts for years, stepping into this role was a steep learning curve because I didn’t have much experience with Ports. Over the last year, I’ve learned so much from the Ports Team – they’ve been incredible at sharing their knowledge. I’ve also gained a much better understanding of the importance of health and safety for our staff. It’s been eye-opening, and I’m really grateful for the support from my Director and our H&S Advisor, who’ve been brilliant at helping me navigate this side of the job.”
What do you believe makes Stafforce stand out from the rest?
“A lot of agencies say they’ll give you autonomy, but Stafforce and Nicholas Associates Group really mean it. I love that we’re trusted to do our jobs and make decisions. On top of that, our Senior Leadership Team is so approachable and down-to-earth. They’re always there when you need them, and that kind of transparency makes a big difference.”
As you look forward, what new skills or experiences are you hoping to gain in your next year?
“I’m really looking forward to growing our current client accounts even more and helping to expand the Thames Ports Branch by bringing in new clients. It’s exciting to think about building those relationships and showing them the top service we can offer. I also want to keep learning and sharpening my skills, especially when it comes to growing the business and delivering even better results.”
We want to thank Neil for sharing his journey and achievements with us so far and congratulate him once again on a successful first year with Stafforce! Neil is a valued member of the team and we appreciate all his contributions and dedication to our Group. Here’s to many more years with us!
