Stafforce Ports Proudly Supports Happy Healing Hub
Stafforce Ports is proud to be supporting Happy Healing Hub as our chosen charity for the year. This collaboration is particularly special as it shines a spotlight on the inspiring efforts of Callum, the son of our Service Delivery Manager, Nikki Leggett. On 18th August, Callum took on an exhilarating and challenging VIP Coaster Climb at Thorpe Park Resort, scaling THE SWARM, one of the UK’s tallest roller coasters, to raise funds for Happy Healing Hub.
Happy Healing Hub is a vital organisation that provides essential mental health support to individuals in need. They offer a welcoming space where people can connect, receive general assistance, and find a community of understanding. Their services include a crisis line, operating similarly to The Samaritans, ensuring that help is always available to those who need it most.
Callum’s Roller Coaster Climb was not just an exciting adventure but also a meaningful effort to support this important cause. The experience began after the park had closed for the day, adding an exclusive and somewhat surreal atmosphere as the group gathered at the VIP Reception. After a thorough health and safety briefing at the Lake View Marquee, participants were fitted with harnesses and prepared for the climb.
The journey to the top of THE SWARM began with a behind-the-scenes tour of the operator cabin, where Callum and his fellow climbers gained a unique insight into the workings of the roller coaster. The climb itself was a steady ascent up the lift hill, secured by safety lines. Despite the initial intimidation of scaling such a massive structure, the breathtaking view from the top—127 feet above the ground—was more than worth it. The panoramic view of the park, especially at sunset, provided the perfect backdrop for reflection and photos.
After enjoying the view and taking some well-deserved pictures, the group descended back to ground level. The experience concluded with a return to the Lake View Marquee, where the climbers removed their harnesses and were presented with special mementoes, including a VIP lanyard, a pin badge, and a certificate commemorating their achievement.
Callum’s courage and determination during the climb raised an impressive £450 for Happy Healing Hub. His efforts not only highlight the thrill of the adventure but also the importance of supporting mental health initiatives. Every donation makes a difference, and we are incredibly proud of Callum for taking on this challenge in support of such a worthy cause.
